All the stainless steel grades 304, 304L, and 304H are chemically compounded with the components like chromium, phosphorus, silicon, manganese, carbon, sulphur, molybdenum, and nickel. Besides other components chromium, molybdenum, and nickel are the major contributors in the whole composition. Hence, it exhibits tremendous yield as well as tensile strengths, great temperature resistance, and elongation range. In general, all three grades are being elongated through the maximum limit of 40%. Also, they have the highest melting point at 1400 degrees Celsius (or 2550 degrees Fahrenheit) except for the 304H. Grade 304H has a melting range from 2550 to 2590 degrees Fahrenheit.
