Monel 400 is a copper-nickel alloy that is highly resistant to steam and seawater at high temperatures and also caustic and salt solutions. Monel K500 is a condensation-accustomed copper-nickel alloy that mixes with the outstanding corrosion resistance feature of Monel 400 with the advantage in addition to greater hardness and strength. These intensified features, harness and strength are achieved by adding titanium and aluminum to the copper-nickel base and to effect age-hardening thermal processing is used. The firmness of this alloy is preserved to 1200 Degree F but still tough down to temperatures of 400 Degree F and stays ductile. 2400-2600Degree F is its melting range. It is non-magnetic and sparks resistance. Monel K500 Fastener is widely used in industries like process vessels, propeller shafts, valves and pumps, heat exchangers, petroleum tills and gasoline tanks, marine applications, chemical processing plants, etc.
